Filtration control: The PLC adjusts the valve opening based on the water level and head loss within the filter. This balancing act ensures a consistent flow rate for both inflow and outflow, enabling automatic filtration with a constant water level and flow rate. Furthermore, the PLC can manage the activation of individual filters based on the incoming water flow. It follows a 'first stop first start, first start first stop' principle to open or stop filters accordingly. Backwash control: When either the filtration cycle concludes or the preset pressure differential is reached, the PLC initiates the backwash procedure: (1) Close the water inlet valve, Once the water level recedes to the drainage trough, close the drain valve and open the backwash valve. (2) Activate the blower, after 5 seconds, open the backwash air valve to purge the filter with air for 1 minute. (3) Open the backwash valve and start the backwash water pump to conduct a simultaneous air and water backwash lasting 7 minutes. (4) Close the backwash air valve; after 5 seconds, deactivate the blower and open the air diaphragm valve for venting. Proceed with a 5-minute backwash using clean water before halting the backwash water pump. Following a 5-second delay, close the water backwash valve, then shut the backwash drain valve. Finally, reopen the water inlet valve, and the filter resumes its filtration operation. The entire backwash process typically spans around 25 minutes, although these timings are adjustable to accommodate specific operational requirements.
